Aluminium alloy gravity casting
Foundry Alutech specializes in aluminium alloy permanent mold casting. The gravity casting process has a capacity for casting quantities between 200 and 10.000 pieces yearly; weight between 0.1 and 40 kg; cast length between 15 and 1.000 mm.
The permanent mold casting capacity is of up to 100 tons of casts per year. Aluminium gravity casting is carried out for:
- construction works (coupling elements in constructions)
- pneumatics (filter housings of various lengths and diameters)
- mechanical engineering (different engineering elements)
- electro engineering (housings for electric hand tools)
- telecommunications
- gaming equipment
- hand-held power tools
- agricultural machinery
We cast aluminium alloys conforming to DrN 1725 standard. Ingots with known chemical structure are used as the raw material or alloys of silicon, copper and magnesium may be used on a customer’s request. Thermal processing is also possible. Maximum size of the mould is 1,100 × 840 × 350 mm.

We cast aluminium for Slovene as well as foreign markets (Italian, German, Belgian, etc.). We also manufacture moulds — tools; final processing is done in a CNC lathe and a CNC processing centre. Finally, the products are painted with electrostatic powder.
Our technological equipment for metal casting:
- 1 hydraulic die casting machine (600x400, four cylinders)
- 1 hydraulically operated tilt-pourcasting machine (1100x840, six cylinders)
- 2 electric smelting furnace (600 kg)
- 1 metal cutting bandsaw
- 1 metal grinding machine
- 1 sandblasting machine
- 1 aluminium welding machine (300A)
- 1 spectrometer for the analysis of Al, Cu and Ms (manufactured by SPECTRO)
- 2 three-piece saw

Together with our collaborators, we also have:
- 2 automated pressure casting machines with 250 and 400 tonnes of clamping force
- 1 Roto-Finish vibratory finishing machine
- 1 sandblasting machine
- 2 CNC machining centres (800x600)
- 2 CNC lathes In the near future, we plan to purchase a low-pressure casting machine (1200x800) with a 500 kg smelting furnace and an X-ray apparatus (600x400).
